Hi! This is a school novel study review so its different-er than normal! Hope you like it!
Book 1: The Maze Runner
About The Book: Thomas wakes up in a cold, dark box with no memory whatsoever except for his name. The box he’s in is rising up so he doesn’t have time to sort anything out. He finds himself in the Glade a peaceful meadow where nothing can harm them. Oh except for the Grievers bloodthirsty mechanical-biotic spider-like creatures out to kill all the Gladers. Thomas realizes there has to be a way out and so starts the adventure searching for the escape.
My Review: a great kick off start to the maze runner series very emotional. It seemed so real at parts my heart jumped and I could almost see the glade and the maze. The grievers were so very well described that I was scared by them this book was very well described.
Book 2: The Scorch Trials
About The Book: Now out of the maze and in what WICKED call a sanctuary. Thomas is ready to be done with all the horrors he saw back in the glade. But, alas, fate is not so kind. One night hes sleeping peacefully in his bed and BOOM! Hes awoken by these people that call themselves “cranks” infected with the infamous virus called the Flare, they have past the “Gone” AKA, Crazy-ville and have started trying to get the bugs out of their heads and trying to eat children’s noses. Thomas and the other Gladers must escape and find a new safe place but first they have to walk like, what, 50 miles? Oh and Teresa is missing. When Thomas can hear her, she’s telling him to go away.
My Review: super good! when I first read it I was pretty freaked out by the cranks but I did enjoy it after I learned more about the cranks! I really loved this book in particular because it was an adventure to remember.
Book 3: The Death Cure
About The Book: N/A
My Review: N/A
Book 4: The Kill Order
About The Book: Back in the past when the Flare is just introduced to humanity Mark, Trina and Alec are the only ones who can trust each other. The Flare was introduced as a lethal dart that killed within hours but started slowing down as they run away to find more people who are still alive and not infected with the flare. They come across a little girl no older than five years old she was shot right in the arm with a dart but oddly she’s not showing any signs of the flare. Her name is Deedee and the rest of her town is afraid of her with no place to go she tags along with Mark Alec and Trina. In this book you will see their adventures throughout the wrecked land of earth in search of a cure to the Flare.
My Review: I was very confused at first like “What the heck does this have to do with the maze runner a virus killed some people so what?” Then “OK… its called the flare that makes sense that ties right into the maze runner” then at the end “WHAT?!?! Deedee’s HER?!?!?!”

TITLE:The Night Before Christmas
ABOUT THE BOOK: The original Night Before Christmas has taken an interesting turn and is now bears instead of humans with an exception of Jolly Old St. Nick himself. A perfect book for little kids.
MY REVIEW: I loved this book even if it was (totally not) too young for me so I absolutely have to give it five stars, a classic poem mixed with The Berenstain Bears, kind of. For a book so special I had to take the extra time to colour the words specially. The pictures of children dreaming of sugar-plums and seeing jolly old St. Nick again really made me excited about Christmas again.
FAVOURITE QUOTE: “Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse”
Title:Ben the dragon born
Author: Dianne Astle
About the book: Ben can’t swim no big deal right? He will just stay away from water. But his principal calls him in one day about not being able to swim. If he fails the coming test he will be able to quit the swimming lessons if he passes he has to learn to swim. No big deal, he’ll do it wrong on purpose. But it doesn’t work that way you see he is tested for magical powers and after two of them show up he sent out a door… and falls into an ocean thankfully he has a duffel bag that is keeping him afloat but that wont work forever. Soon a lady and two whales show up and take him under the ocean where he sees that she is a mermaid. Wow right? Soon they learn the true intentions of his quest and its huge will he survive? Read to find out.
My review: I loved this book and when my sister started reading her first chapter book it was this one, I figured she’d love it she never finished it though it was to big for her. I think. I give it five stars. Fantasy lovers everywhere read this book.

SERIES: Marty Chan Mystery Series

TITLE: The Fountain
AUTHOR: Suzy Vadori
ABOUT THE BOOK: Teenager Ava wants to learn more about her dead mother’s past so she attends St.Augustus across the country but she is hated by many because of her mothers past . When she goes to her grandmothers house she cuts through the forest and comes across a fountain she makes a wish with a penny out of her anger that a mean girl Courtney would go away but she finds out the next day that it comes true is that OK or will she need to fix it? read now to find out.
MY REVIEW:I give this book 5 stars I know I give allot of books 5 stars but i don’t have reason not too I only review books I love.I liked the part were she found out she accidentally copied her mothers report and my favourite character was Ava. Throughout the story I kept getting scared that she would be caught, so it was a very good and exciting book.
I like fantasy because it is a not real world were you can do every thing you want by that I mean I some times feel as if I’m in it myself and I will stop reading and sort of explore the place I’m in and then when I see the movie and it is way different then I imagined it but my mind just changes it to the way it is supposed to look or just forgets it was wrong and keeps it the way it was.
I like fantasy because it is often a long series of books to read and always end with a happy ending. my favorite fantasy series is the Percy Jackson series because it is such a long series that i can read for days and days and days.
